Delta,
I am thinking about building up my motor. I was thinking about Ross pistons, Eagle rods, RRE balance shaft eliminator kit and a lightened crank from bjscylinderhead.com. I looked at dsmreviews.com but I still dont know what parts are best. What do you guys recommend? I was also looking @ flywheels. Any suggestions?

Ask yourself this first. Why are you doing this? What are you goals? What is current setup? How much $$ do you want to spend? I'm not sure if you have a 6 or 7bolt, but I wouldnt fix it until she blows.

Well I had just pulled the head, so I figured I might as well do the internals. I was looking @ prices and if I went w/ an engine build-up it would take up most of my $ for a few months. If I did rebuild, it would be light.

you still havent told us your goals.. my reasoning for stressing this is there is no point in putting forged internals in a daily driver that you only intend on running like a 16G turbo on.

Ok, I understand what your saying. I want a streetable, non-daily driver. What I will do is take it out a couple days a week in the summer, possible drag strip runs. Not daily beaten.

These guys are absolutely right. Dont build the engine unless your goals are more than 400whp. I made that mistake, and it cost me big time. I wish now, that I had just stayed with stock internals. And trust me. Making 400whp is not easy. Im just now getting close to that, at 373whp. Dont build unles you absolutely have to.
