For those of you that have the option to use a stutter box (MSD, DSMlink, ect). What RPM to you have it set at? Mine was set at 4500 but my car would bg a little so I upped it to 4750 and maybe going up to 5000. I am just curious as to other peoples settings.

I upped mine to 5000 last night, I haven't tried it yet though. But I think 4500 was definatly too low for my car.

Do you guys just straight drop the clutch from there or try and pull the tricky slip stuff? I still can't do that very well... I want to be able to just dump the piss out of it and go! Can't wait till track opens back up!

I'm afraid he does. It's called the rev limit stutter box. He did it in my driveway once, I think it freaked out the neighbors.

For me its 6K. No Mercy!

Do all of you who just launch the car by dropping it instead of slipping it have the 4 bolt rear end? I want to pull some good 60' times this year at the track but I'm still afraid to launch the car the way I'd like to...

Personally I let the clutch take the abuse as it's cheaper to replace a clutch than rebuild a transmission...

For cars with stock or 16G turbos it should be set at about 5000-5500. For cars with 20G or bigger turbos should be right up there above 6 grand.

Have any of you guys totally screwed the front motor mount from droping it like that??

I droped it from around 7000 one night and after that my front motor mount has been creeking.

If I just dump the clutch without slipping it a little then all I get is wheelspin. I slip the clutch at little at first. My 60 fts are always between 1.62 and 1.7 and I have never broken a driveline part. The clutch does take a lot of abuse, but it held up all last season. Tranny is TRE with everything they offer and the clutch is clutch is a clutchmasters 2500lb pressure plate and 4 puck solid disc.
