FWD driveable with how many HP?

with how many HP a FWD Eclipse is still good driveable?

Well considering I could chirp the sh*t out of 2nd when my car was stock I should have known traction was going to suck when I modded it. As of now still with the t25 i'm spinning through 2nd and plan of scratching 3rd with a clutch upgrade so i'd say a GS-T doesn't even "drive good" with the stock turbo

all depends on yer term driveable.. my car is very driveable at close to 300whp.. no very trackable but driveable yes

Yep. With my setup I've got 297whp and it is very streetable. I'm currently putting in a 1G head along with the 1G rods to crank up some more power. I'll let you know how many HP after I dyno it and tell you how "streetable" it is.

Yes...300hp level and the car is still driveable...kinda fun.

If you plan on being able to full throttle and get traction anywhere at low speeds/around corners/or from a stop....then for the most part--FWD is not for you.

363whp and is my daily driver.....Love'n it!

"Not trackable" - my experience is my car is very trackable.

Maybe not SCCA small coarse's but road racing, 1/4 miles, highway.

Anything where traction from start and go isn't a problem, these cars rock! - 1/4 miles our times are slower but our traps are higher. - invest in some slicks and you'll be fine.

Personally I'm having a blast with my car - ya I wish I had a GSX but when I bought my GS-T. I wasn't thinking of going fast. Just wanted some show for the audio show's I was competing in.

anyways - I'm hoping before I finish with the car I'm looking for 400whp - pump gas. and 500whp on race gas.

But I have to do internals before I go any farther.

I've gone as far as 423 WHP in a FWD and loved it. Spins hard, but it's up to the driver to control that. The Talon will be faster, so I'll keep you posted as I explore more high-HP FWD...

I drove a friends FWD with just intake, UIC, BOV and an MBC. Spun the wheels all the time, annoyed the **** out of me. It's all a matter of opinion though, no one can answer that question for you.

this is the reason I wont drive a GSX, cuz I know Ill never wanna come back again.. Im afraid what it wold feel like to hit the gas and actually go instead of spinning

I test drove a modded '97 GSX before I bought the Spyder and it was SWEET but you could tell the kid that owned it before really drove it hard... the bald rear tires were a dead giveaway! So with no luck finding a GSX I did find a "cherry" GS-T Spyder so I snatched it up quick! About a month later a nice stock '98 GSX wound up at the local dealer figures... oh well,
