Well its comin near time where me and my buddy are gonna put together our race car. We have a 6bolt block to start with. It came out of my auto and seems that the only good thing on the damn block is the 90 ofh. Cranks pretty beat up, we found metal shavings in the pan from the thrust bearing, and one of the big rods were bent . So on our quest for power we've decided to rebuild the whole thing bottom up to run our turbo of choice. Any suggestions for parts are greatly appreciated. We kinda have an idea of what we want but we want to hear what people are using and how they like it. This car is going to be a fully built strip car. We are searching for low 11's maybe a dip into the 10's. We have a turbo system picked out and other things like engine management we'd just like an opinion on what to build the motor to. Whew that was a long one . Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Thanks,
Chris

For your goal of low 11's high 10's the Eagle/Ross combo would work perfectly. That some ARP head/main studs, new bearings, and you should be set.

I say straight up eagle for rods and crank. Raise the compression a tad on the pistons for some low RPM power. ARP for hardware and headbolts. They are affordable practically on anyones budged, all of their product is forged thus stronger and lighter. I had wiseco 9.5:1 comp. pistons on my 93 with Eagle H-beam rods and all ARP hardware. Twas a 650 horse motor, only saw 10lbs and It made power right off the line. Too bad car got stolen and driven around with no oil. Boom.

Pauter is one of the most expensive aftermarket rods in the market. Yeah you get what you pay for...but alot of companies backed by performance, as well as satisfied customers will tell you that you have choices. If budget is not a problem I believe pauter is a great choice for a DD/track car.
