what is the difference between a stock auto-cam and a manual-cam on a 4G63 turbo engine? Just thinking of doing the swap in the meantime. What performance gains can I expect from this mod?

If you fell like replaceing your cams just get HKS and be done with it.

1G auto cams are very mild compared to the manual cams. The 92 manual cams are a pretty decent upgrade for 2G's, so it would stand to reason that they would be a pretty good upgrade if you have a 1G auto and are on a budget. If you have some money to spend, then the 264/272 HKS cams are a pretty popular upgrade.

Thorin------THANKS! I do agree that HKS 264/272 combo is the way to go and is on my THINGS2GET list. But like you said if you're on a budget-92 cams is the way to go!

but the power you would make hardly is worth the effort of swapping out the cams IMHO.
