sacramento,
Im going to be purchasing soon a 96-98 GST automatic. Read an article yesterday about JMO and their Torque Converters for automatic transmission (www.jmousa.com). Im gonna try to squeeze every bit of power i can out of my auto tranny cuz where i live, nothing but stop-go-traffic. But has anyone heard any reviews on this or thought about doin a Torque converter? Seems like it might be a good upgrade, but i wanted to hear from real users. If its a noticeable difference or not. Total package price is about $800 or so. Thanx everyone

It's would be a good idea if you're going to run a big turbo to get it restalled to a higher stall speed so you can brake and spool up the turbo. You can get it done at levelten.com or protorque.com for less money. You might want to look into a shift kit and end clutch for faster shifting. I am having all of this done along with levelten's transmission kit on my auto gsx. I looked at your mod list and you have nothing listed. If you don't have anything done yet I'd advise you to go with the shift kit and end clutch and not get your torque convertor restalled. Here is the post I posted about the shift kit: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/sho...light=shift+kit

Kewl, thanx for the reply... Yeah i have no mods yet cuz i dont have the car :) Im just doing my homework. I still own a 93 Honda Si that im selling. With my new eclipse, im definately gonna upgrade the factory turbo to sumthin more stronger and when i read the article about the Torque converter it seemed kinda promising for an upgrade. But thanx again for the links and the info, i'll start checking into the shift kit. latez

Thanks! But, as it turns out, I already had his e-mail. Charles (of plymouthlaser.com fame) posted the info on the A/T DSM list a month or two ago, along with Dean's phone number.
