Well today I finally recieved my downpipe from Megan Racing that I have been waiting for since november. I don't know what the megan racing downpipes use to look like, but all I heard is they were 2.5in to flexpipe then 3" after. Well mine is 3" all the way through and looks nice. Time to bolt it up and go for a ride

Do you have pics? Mine is 2.5" right at the flange to mate up to the 02 housing then goes a full 3" right after. How are you mating it up to your 2.5" housing? I love mine it's a great piece and inexpensive.

I get some pics up as soon as I can. I hope it bolts up to the megan racing o2 housing or Ill be a little PO'd

I had one but it wouldn't bolt up to the stock 02 housing, you'll need an evo3 o2 housing.

The GST DP's bolt right up... Mine did. Also, they actually start at around 2.75 and then go to 3" at about 4 inches down the pipe.

Hate to be the one to tell you, but that's an awd downpipe, not a fwd. That's why it's 3" before the flex.

Fwd downpipes look like this:

yeah I own a 97 GSX, didn't realize that it has been saying GST. I use to own a 95 GST and must have just changed the year and not the model ;)

I got mine on friday and installed it yesterday. What a pain in the a$$. I spent 6 hours on the cold garage floor. I got it to bolt up to the stock o2 housing but I'm definatly gonna need a new o2. The bolt circle on the stock o2 housing isn't big enough to have clearance for the bolts. I can hear a slight leak so I'm gonna have to invest in a new o2 housing. Which one will fit up to the dp and the t-25?

The megan for a GST is garbage....remember Megan was the first ebay company and they are hardly close to top end.

They use extremely thin metal, so thin when i went to drill a hole for a 02 bung it wrinkled the metal around it, and i had to hammer it back down and put a disgusting weld on it for it to seal.

Don't buy them unless you have a GSX, I have about 8" of my Megan downpipe left on my car, the rest I just fabbed because of how crappy it is

My megan housing fit perfectly. 3'' inlet, no stepped sizes. It bolted right up, both ends. I love the fit, and it has excellent clearance.

Ahh there's our answer... Megan built their downpipes to fit their own o2 housing. And as kylelilley stated, it didnt bolt up perfectly to the STOCK o2 housing. I guess no Megan for me:(

Yes, that is correct. The only thing that was difficult was tightening the bolts to hook it to the o2. I needed a really short 19 mm wrench, and a crows foot helped too.

Today was the first day I've driven mine since I installed it over the weekend and it's leaking at the o2 housing. It's extremely hard to tighten the dp all the way flush to the o2 flange because of the weld on the dp. I'm just gonna buy an EVO III o2 housing and hopefuly solve my leak and gain a little power while I'm at it:thumb:.
