Ebay Big 16g

Trying out the Ebay "16g Kit"....
includes: Big 16g
02 housing
J-pipe
Oil Feed and Return
equal length header (will probably last 1 month )
All Gaskets and hardware (probably wont fit!)

cost: 300+50 shipping

As soon as I bolt it up and turn it over I will post back....

Has anyone tried the "kit" version sold on Ebay? Ive searched and could only find the reviews of the ebay 16g

If you have the same luck as 99.9% of the eBay turbo buyers have had....

-The header will crack in the first 1000 miles.
-The turbo will blow in under 2000 miles.
-The o2 housing flange isn't flat enough to seal against the turbo without leaking.

I just bought an ebay turbo . Im going to know first hand if these are decent or not. Im taking photos of it. I purchased mine from etd motors. If it blows im sending it to this above dude and having it rebuilt or my small 16g rebuilt.

be careful with the bolts, they usually are not the correct thread.

I run this Housing, it works fine and so do the gaskets.

Let me know about the j pipe, the one i got from sbr is terrible, hardest thing in the world to install

Please do NOT be like me... I bought just the "evoIII 16g" off of ebay and got a Korean knock-off turbo. Sure i went 13.0 with it BUT that only lasted for a few months. I strated hearing a BZZZZZZZZZZZ from the turbo under boost, ( the only thing i could describe is was is a buzz saw. ) I took the turbo off removed the compressor cover and the fins were all destroyed - Rubing on the cover internally and sending metal peices into my engine. Not only did this suck because i waisted money on a junk turbo, but my engine was later ruined not to long after... all because i wanted to save a buck , TAKE IT FROM ME- STAY AWAY!!!!

Im so sorry i didnt reply to this post sooner. The turbo is great fit perfect. The only issue i dealt with was the wasgate canister was so stiff it wouldn't open. So i used my lil 16g turbo wasgate canister and it its working great now. No track time yet though im building a newer setup.
