I'm in need of an aftermarket TB, i need one that will bolt up to the magnus IM and also plug in to the factory tps. I also heard that i couldnt run an aftermarket TB without a standalone?? Is this true?

stand-alone is not needed, I used to run a BBK TB, You simply bolt it on and use your facotry TPS unit and bolt on the coolant plate on the bottom. The BBK is feather weight compared to stock, VERY touchy with the throttle and there is no BISS screw, Idle is adjusted by allen screw.

Another option is picking up a 1G throttle body, Again you will use your own 2G TPS unit. This TB bolts rite up as well

If the mani is flanged for the stock TB....

You need to determine what flange your Magnus has before you decide which throttle body to run.

You can use a 1g throttle body. 1g tb's are bigger than 2g tb's. Or you can get it reflanged. Or you can custom make an adapter.

Why are you in need of an aftermarket throttle body?

Well i'm going with a totally new setup, looking to see 550-600hp somewhere in that range, and i wasnt sure what hp ratings the 1g tb had, just thought a 75mm would be more effcient for my setup
