alright is there such thing as the JDM motor for and eclipse is there such thing as a motor that come from Japan

Yes, thats the same thing....JDM = Japaneese Domestic Market. Their often know as cyclone engines, and their not ANY better then a us Engine.

These engines are much better.... stock 16g, 510 injectors, Dual runner intake... good investment.

16g/510 incjectors only constitute 5% of JDM engines, if that....dual runner is shitty. Norm,ally their the same.

The cyclone manifold which comes on JDM motors i believe flows 1 less CFM and gains 1lbs of torque. So It is nearly identical to the OEM one, performance wise, but has a butterfly valve for a little more torque.

thats correct, however the performance is only better off boost, under boost the shorter runner is better at ANY rpm. In addition its more weight and ALOT mor gasket leaks.

The torque gain is much more than that. Its actually about 10-15 ft lbs. It works under boost in the OE vehicle. The dual runner will make a FWD launch like a AWD and bumps up the VE of these cars, up to about 2500-3000 rpm. They used these to help spool the 16g and get the car off the line quicker... all in all smooths out the power band. Makes a smooth transisiton until the turbo kicks in. The US spec runner is actually designed for one RPM, like all non VGI intakes.

Will make a fwd launch like an awd? I dfidn't realizes it gave traction...., it wont do #### to your launch, maybe a 2.35 instead of a 2.37........I hit 2nd gear before the 60 foot...on a drag launch, boost is instantaneous. Variable intakes are only good for the average driver....but they are trash for any racing event....GSR's get alot of power from getting a Type R non dual runner. MR2's get alot of power from a non dual runner...

Look at it this way.....if you buy a Magnus Sheetmetal manifold.....you gain 40 hp.....and 12 ft/lbs....at a LOWER RPM. Because on boost the short fat runners are making more power and ANY rpm. Now you have funn adding weight, potential vacuum leaks,...because the cyclone has 3 intake manifold gaskets!, alot more vacuum lines, a wiring head ache, and the only benefit you will get is a slight insrease in off boost performance? 15 ft lbs? with 7.8 to 1 compression? Theres no where to get that much power.....maybe 5, maybe 8, not 10, and it dosen't matter when you decide to use the gas pedal.

I was getting ready to completely remove the air conditioning system from my car to drop some weight and make the engine easier to work on. Has anyone done the same and did any check engine lights come on or any gains at the track???
Im only getting rid of it cause it doesnt work and i never use it anyway.
