Did I get the wrong motor mount in my kit?

Doing some research before I installed my prothanes, I noticed that the 1G motor mount kit came with just inserts for the front as seen here: Front Prothane Mount

My kit came with a one piece solid bushing that would replace all the factory rubber. The part number on the package is "13-505 90-94 motor mount front insert". When I look this up it shows the insert version not the whole one piece bushing. Here is a link to the pic of what I have:

Is this just the alternative of the 2 piece insert? A product update? Or just the wrong item?

did you get the whole kit? because its gonna be 4 in total, 3 of them in inserts (2 pretty big and 1 small) as in you are gonna have to cut out the old rubber that ring and put them in..and the last one is for the bottom front which just slips in with the stock rubber.

looks like the one you posted the pic for is the back motor mount insert.

so if you have 2 of them they sent you 2 for the back.

Just to inform you all, prothane has updated it the front mount to a FULL insert now. Not that crappy shit where you squish two pieces between the stocker.

And yes, it is one piece. It is a bi*** to squish in there but is possible.

Thanks Morpherex. I wonder why they didn't make it identical to the back and make it 2 pieces? Guess I will break out the grease for this one.

I'll give it a shot anyway. I actually just came in after taking that front mount off and noticed the bolt hole in the stock mount is offset while the prothane is center. What is up with that?

UPDATE: You can get the new front version in with grease, 2 2x4s, and a vice. Use the 2x4 on both sides in the vice to get a nice even clamping force and it slides right in.

I only had mine about 2 months. It's nice to know that you have all 4 full inserts though.

AW, WTF! I wish I had known about this before putting in my new inserts. I want a 1 piece style :(

####ING SHIT! I just spent all day yesterday filling up my front mount with polyurethane and slipping the prothanes in. And my mounts are cracking too. I really could have used a front insert instead. BAH.

Like I said the 1G front and rear mounts are the same so there is no reason you could not have a full front insert. I put mine in long before they made a kit with four full inserts.

I'll keep that in mind this spring when I pull my engine yet again.
