hear is what happens, i can slam on the peddel and the boost is up at 14/15 psi but it dosent hold at all... when i got the car it would hit the red line before it shifted under full thottle... now it shifts much earlier. also if im going 60 and try to acceleate nothing it'll go but way slowly and not hold boost. like sometimes all just hold it at meaby 7 to 8 psi ad whatch the neddle fall... even though the trottle is at the same position... this is bad i figure i have a leek because of this and some hissing from the engine bay... you dont think its the turbo? Or ic?

i was planning on replacing my ic pipes anyway but i guess all also need a BOV... and i only have enough money for one or the other... alas... i reall hope its just a loose cupling ad not a broken turbo, or crakd ic

What should I Do?

You could have a crack where the wastegate flapper is, that's why it's not holding the boost, it's all leaking out, someone I know had that problem.

how can i tell weather or not it is leeking at a crack? coudl it be anything else?

It could be something else, but the way you describe it it is also possible it could be cracked.

You will have to take the turbo out, open it up and look around the wastegate flapper, if it''s cracked then you know that's where you are losing your boost from.

if it isnt youthink it could be the stock bov? or what else... ill check soon

well, my first piece of advice is to get rid of that POS plastic BOV and at the least get yourself a 1G. they hold up to about 18psi, whereas the 2G leaks like a sieve after 12lbs. of course, if you want to scare innocent bystanders, get yourself one of those BOVs that amplify the sound like the RFL, so if you aren't fast, at least you'll SOUND fast (and a Blitz bodykit would be the perfect compliment for LOOKING fast) :p

what, that post has no place... i do plan to get a new bov... but not a loud one that foolish, recirculation is the way unless i compleatly redu the feul system... i woudl rather spend mony on a turob than a body kit AND BE FAST
