Ok guys, First yes i have searched and i didn't find much to help me out. I have a supra but i also have a 1994 Eclipse with a 2.0 n/a motor. I'm wanting to swap the turbo 4g63 and i have read that if i had a 1.8 it wouldn't be even worth it to try the swap but with the 2.0 already in place its going to make the swap alot easier. I'm wanting to get the motor w/ harness and ECU already attached. Aside from that am i going to be looking at anything else that is going to give me trouble? its a auto, so are the axles going to work? am i going to need a new master cylinder and slave? I'm going to order the Motor and a 5-speed tranny this week some time so i need help fast. If anyone can refer me to a good importer that would be great. I don't know to much about DSM since i have always owned toyotas so anything will help. thanks guys and happy new year!!!!

aside from that here is what mods i plan on doing while out of the car..

16g turbo
Greddy type s bov
FMIC w/ hard piping
550 injectors ( need opinoins)
some sort of high flow fuel pump
greddy profec b, timer
HKS AFR
act clutch
possible venom intake manifold.

give me feedback on these mods any insight will help. Let me know if there are any "cheep and good" kits for intercoolers and piping. Later on i plan to run a 20g or bigger with tublar manifold and extranal wastegate. thanks again guys!!

Here's the list with stuff you'll want to upgrade for the 16G or just in general since you're starting from scratch:

-throttle body
-throttle body elbow
-tap a hose barb into the intake manifold (for BOV line)
-uic hose replaced with piping for FMIC
-lower ic hose replaced with piping for FMIC
-stock sidemount ic replaced with FMIC
-turbo intake cam (at or mt depending on your tranny, exhaust cams are the same)
-stock 1g exhaust manifold might try and find a 2G as they flow better
-stock 1g downpipe replace with 2.5" if you never want to go bigger than 16G, 3" if you might
-14b turbo 16G
-stock 1g o2 snesor housing might try and find 2G as I think they flow better or consider O2 eliminator downpipe
-turbo ecu + wiring harness (the ecu plugs for the turbo ecu and several connectors for the mas, fpr solenoid, knock sensor and injector resistor pack)
-450cc stock turbo injectors 550cc may be enough or you might want to consider 660cc
-turbo fuel pump 190 lph is probably good. 255 lph if you want more room but you'll need a AFPR
-turbo mas might try and find a 2G as they flow better
-upgraded clutch if you have mt (act 2100 at least)
-turbo fwd oil pan
-knock sensor
-injector resistor pack
-all lines to connect turbo to water source off the head (turbotrix)
-all oil lines for the turbo (can be bought from turbotrix)
-new head gasket
-timing belt change
-rods, pistons & rings from a 6 or 7 bolt engine (depending what year your car is)
-block rework & head rework
-fuel pressure solenoid
-knock sensor
-new o2 sensor
-turbo mas (if getting a 2g mas then you need to do the 2g mas conversion)

Obviously if you're swaping in a complete longblock you won't need a lot of that stuff. Here is your list marked up:

16g turbo
Greddy type s bov 1G BOV works really well and is a lot cheaper
FMIC w/ hard piping
550 injectors ( need opinoins)
some sort of high flow fuel pump see above
greddy profec b, timer
HKS AFR most people here prefer the Apex AFC
act clutch
possible venom intake manifold. probably overkill for the setup you're going for. 1G intake is good

Plus 2.5" or 3" high flow cat or test pipe and catback

This is just to get you started so you know what to search for. You'll still need to do a lot of research.

Good luck!

ive been working on this too.i found it easier to just get a turbo bottom end,use the head i have, fwd turbo trans,im gonna run a standalone just because i might as well do it,and put together the block and a turbo setup using aftermarket parts.im still working the bugs out and finding sizes for everything but im gettin there.im gonna use the stock turbo crank and get it knife edged and ballanced, machine the stock rods to fit 95 8:5:1 pistons.im puttin total piston rings on the pistons, and just goin to work my head and buy parts as i go along.when i get this motor done im gonna make a parts list to see if it can help people.ive got little in parts so far but hopefully by the end of the summer im goin to have this motor in my car. :thumb: there is alot more parts to this, like the exhaust, turbo manifold, and a lot more.its not gonna be cheep but oh well.

jim97gst,
man thanks for your help i know that took alittle bit of time to write out, the thing is i'm not giong to build the existing motor. We are just going to order the turbo motor and swap it. The main question was about ecu and wiring problems. Maybe i stated something wrong to make you think i was using the n/a 2.0 to go turbo on. Thanks alot for your time and help.

On another note about the afr vs. afc - I really liked the afc (apex) but the afr (hks) acutally has 11 points of adjustment as the afc only has 8. the afr also has 6 more adjustment points from 650~2000rpm's for idle correction, the AFC does not have this. The AFR also has EIDS which correct the Air/Fuel signal so your car doesn't stall or go rich when your Blow Off Valve releases, the AFC does not have this . The hks isn't as good looking but from experiance it works alot better. thanks again for your help!!!
