In the Honda Community there are many companies and individuals that make ECU harness adapter plugs. For example you were putting an Type R motor into an OBD II car(civic for instance) but you wanted to use an OBD I computer. Well the sockets on the 2 computers are different so you can't just plug in the OBD I computer. To solve this they make a small harness so the OBD II harness(under the dash) plugs into the new socketed harness and then the other end will plug into the OBD I computer.
Now lets transfer that to the DSM world. Could we do this in the DSM community? This of course would be for the 2nd Gen cars. Could a small adapter be made so we could plug in a 1st Gen ECU so it will match the 6 bolt engine swap? Maybe this would help with the CELs the 2nd Gen ECU sometimes throws, plus eliminating the cam angle sensor you would have to add. Maybe I'm missing something here but shouldn't it work?
