could a head gasket leak only under boost

just as the thread title says. also if the gasket would leak could it cause a miss?

Yes. And if it was, no.

To elaborate on the "yes" little, the reason it will is beacause the cylinder pressure increases dramatically during boost situations causing the head to lift. To fix this you wouold want to pull the head replace the head gasket and put in some ARP head studs. Good luck!

well hoinetly by the sound of this you ahve shitty head bolts see when an engine is built they are made to "stretch" if you will everything will stretch and what has happen did you buy the car used? if so the previous owner most likely changed head gasket when you do that you ahve to replace head bolts every time becasue the bolts are stretched to fit and when you detorque they wont fit right causeing aleak but if it is leaking under boost only???? if the head gasket is bad it wil leak all the time not just under boost maybe not as dramatic as when boost but would be leaking all the time....
