san diego,
I just installed my new big 16g and I need to know how to start the car the first time? I have heard something about just tapping the throttle to get oil into the turbo, what do I do?

Standard procedure is to pull the MPI fuse from it's home near the positive battery terminal, then crank the engine over until you see some oil pressure build up on the gauge, put the fuse back, fire it up and you're good to go.

If the MPI fuse makes you nervous, or it's hard to get out, you can also pull the fuel pump harness (either at the relay on the firewall or at the pump in the trunk) and the ignition harness (just below the ignition leads on the back driver's side of the engine).

Either way, make sure your battery is charged and, as the man says, crank it 'till you've got some oil pressure showing and you're set.
