What kind of underdrive pulleys?

what are the best for the money underdrive pulleys. I was looking at unorthodox, but they seem pricey. i for sure need a crank pullye because mine is chipped. but i would rather get a set. If anyone has a used set email me your price.

You might want to do some research on undampened crank pulleys before you buy one. Most people say not to use them, because without the dampener to absorb vibration you are increasing the risk of crankwalk.

i have a 1g block that has been balanced and blueprinted. would that still be a problem.

[Edit: Why go through the trouble of blueprinting and balancing the entire bottom end and risk it looking for 10 more hp from an undampened pulley?]

No, unfortunately. The argument against the undampened pulleys (which you can find in the Talon Digest) comes primarily from tuners working on inline 6's. Due to the longer crankshaft it is obvious why they would have more vibrational problems. The arguments for the use of undampened pulleys is from Unorthodox Racing. The problem there, is it's a vendor telling us why we should buy their product. Not always the most truthful information.

So you have information for and against, none of which is bulletproof. What it comes down to is, are you willing to risk it? I say no.
