Why 57 Trim on Newer TA34

I was comparing the compressor maps between a 50 trim and 57 trim and on paper dont really see an advantage of the 57 over the 50. The reason I ask is I am looking at a t3/4 and would rather go with the newer ballistic series, but noticed nobody has them standard with a 50trim, only the 57 and 60. So enlighten me please.
 
I was looking at the size of the wheels and maybe its cause the 50 is a a 3.00 major dia and all the other E wheels are 2.950 and that could be why??????
 
the e50 wheel is one of the most efficient wheels Garrett makes for the E housing. The 57 trim will run a little more boost, but won't do it quite as efficiently. The 50 trim is prolly the best pump gas wheel, and doesn't do a bad job at the track either. I've seen a dyno of a 50trim putting down 485whp, so I don't see a reason to get a 57 trim, except for cost purposes.
 
I dont either thats why I dont get why I dont see any of the newer Ballistic TA34's with 50 in them they only have 57 or 60
 
AGP just did a t3/t4 turbo kit for me. I'm running a 50 trim.

You see alot of 57 trims because they are cheap. 57s are an off the shelf garret turbo you can order for cheap. A 50 trim is a custom turbo that has to be built, so it has some extra cost.

Yes, there is really no advantaget to the 57 trim besides cost. Spend the extra $100 and get the 50 trim. I love mine.
 
Unreal did you get that done with the newer Ballistic center section and Turbine housing?
