on the stock 2g bov there is usually a flange sticking out of the top/side of the bov, NOT THE INTAKE RETURN, the other one. well mine is broken off and there is no tube. where should this tube originally be going and is it important? in other pics ive seen it looks like its going deeper into the engine area somewhere.

it is most likely your boost source signal... MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE THIS HOOKED UP!! It is important that it is always connected so your bov will open. It should (after a few t's and cuts) end up somehwere in the Intake manifold. Make sure you hook it back up so you dont hurt anything in the long run...
 
actually, this helps keep the bov closed as well. you will over rev the turbo without it on.
