What I need to go 12.9 @ 110

So from what I can guess from all I have read here ALL DAY....I need a S-AFC and a set of 650cc injectors and a walbro 255lph HP pump. Right?

My mods are as follows:

Big T28
Dave Brode UICP
1G BOV
2 1/2" Turbo back
Test pipe 2 1/2"
ported O2 housing
"non ported Turbo"
hallman classic MBC
Autometer Boost gauge and pod
ACT 2100 clutch
stock LICP
stock throttle body and 2g intake
fuel pump rewired
phantom road works turbo inlet pipe
procarparts air filter kit
homemade cold air box
95 GSX

So what I need is injectors, S-afc, and a high output pump right? Won't the walbro pump over run the fuel rail and cause the injectors to run rich? I have heard discussions on this, and hell its just one more thign right? I want to stop modding @ 12.9/110 1/4's. FOR REAL. but my car must still be reliable.

If you run through the traps at 110 mph, you should be going much faster than 12.9. There are guys running in the 12.20s on 110 trap speeds. I would not recomend going with 650s and also not with the 255HP pump. I would got with 550s and a 255LPH pump, not the HP one. The AFC is a must with the 550s and I suggest doing something about your lower pipe. If you do not have a data logger, I would get one or at least an EGT for tuning purposes.
 
If you don't have any injectors yet......
Go with a 650 or 660 cause if you ever plan to go with a bigger turbo your still somewhat safe and don't have to do things twice.....
550's every now and then I still will hit fuel cut.......SCARY
and get the big pump for the smae reason just get a FPR to turn down....

I have these problems now....I find that if i want a bigger turbo I need to go back a change some things, that have already been changed. BUT, if you started out with big stuff you can tone them down, BUT they'll already be their if you go BIG.

Kilurv8 pretty much hit the nail on the head....

550s will be just fine. No need for 650s. The 255 may be a bit much. A rewired 190LPH Denso upgrade would suite you perfectly. If you can get a better deal on the Walbro 255, then go for that one, but expect FPR to be overrun. Also, get the AFC and EGT gauge. I also do not see an upgraded IC. I would recommend, in the least, get a upgraded SMIC, but would push for the FMIC. I had an Alamo SMIC and even that got bad heatsoak in the summer months. The Supra SMIC is a great mod, but again, I say go for the FMIC. With all of that, you should reach your goal, although 110 is very high for only a 12.9. With just OK driving, you should get 12.9@105.
 
If you want to run big boost on pump gas with a turbo that size you will need fuel. I whole heartedly recommend you get a fpr ASAP you will not believe the difference in driveability. The 650s area good choice because if he decides to go with a bigger turbo latter he will not need to rebuy injectors. Plus if he leans out the injectors on the afc he should get great timing advance.

If you can find a walbro 255hp they are usually only 10 dollars more than the normal version and they will do a lot better at higher fuel pressure levels. The normal pump that I used to have in my car really gave me problems at 70+ psi of total fuel pressure. Overall fp might not be a concern for this guy but it is good info for latter. To fix that you either need the HP unit of even better a Supra pump from Conecelli.

Ditto on the datalogger I have no idea how you will get it shipped to you but that will be mission critical.

Also trap speed and et is dependent on a lot of things one big factor is weight. You will see a big difference in et and trap speed when comparing a stripped out 1g to a 2g with a stereo.

If you want this setup to be all day reliable you will NEED to get a front mount intercooler. You will definitely be able to click off a high 12 here and there but more than likely not on pump gas. The front mount will let you replicate your times on pump gas and you will also be much more consistent in back to back runs.

I also don’t think your 2100 is going to be able to take too many clutch drops. When the clutch eventually blows (and it will) you should replace it with a 2600.
 
I'd get the 650s, Denso 150, DSMLink and FMIC. With a 2G you should be going with the largest injectors possible so you can get into a reasonable timing map. The reason for going with 650s has nothing to do with fuel volume, 550s would be more than you actually would need in terms of volume, however you would never get really good timing with them on pumpgas in a 2G. You won't be utilizing the 650s to their full extent so a Denso 150 (from RRE) will be adequate. If you don't want a DSMLink then an AFC should still work fine.

On a 1G I would get 550s or even stockers for a 12.9. But if I really wanted that 110, even on racegas, I would probably go with the 550s. 2Gs are different in terms of how conservative they are with timing. You need to drop that MAS count a lot.
 
What about Hahn 625cc's? I have read some reviews and they are supposedly designed specifically for our cars.. don't know what that means in terms of performance but just throwing that out there to add to the confusion.
 
Hahn overcharges for everything. Go with the 660's (2g fuel maps SUCK) and get a datalogger. Did you crush your BOV yet? What kind of 60' times are you getting currently? I just installed a ACT 2100 with a 6 puck unsprung disk and love it. First time at the track w/ AWD and I was hitting 1.7 60' times. You should also look into getting your turbo and exhaust manifold ported.

well as i said before i have 550s and a rewired 190lph 3kgt pump and i run fun with the Big 28 BUT.. Id rather have 660s with a 255lph and an AFPR to turn down the fuel pressure becuase it would allow for an easy upgrade later if you change your mind..

My friends 2G went 11.9 @ 114 with the stock injectors and the typical denso upgrade pump, stock fuel pressure and all. To run high 12's you shouldnt have to change anything, except the addition of an AFC. Just get good at driving.
 
Well as you may have read...I JUST got the Big T28 installed and I am impressed to say the least. i really don't wanna upgrade the stock SMIC for a FMIC if I don't have to......(rocks and gravels and road debris slamming into my $1200 intercooler won't make me none to happy and the stock one works fine....I am not going to be racing this thing for a living or everyday so I think the stock SMIC is ok.

I have access to top of the line 98 octane at the pump here in Germany...I'm at a fairly low altitude of 2100 ft. and I do NOT want to upgrade to a bigger turbo in the future. So 550 cc injectors I assume will be ok. I want to get a fuel pump that WILL NOT over run the FPR....and a S-AFC. Get some colder NGK plugs (the 7's I think).....and run everyday boost of about 18-19psi. The fuel pump will be rewired NEXT weekend since I am enjoying the turbo in NEAR STOCK conditions right now and feeling LAZY since we worked 12's this last week.....AND IF PHANTOM ROAD WORKS WILL EVER GET MY CAT-BACK TO ME install that next weekend too. (anyone know whats up with them.....I keep getting a damn computer dial tone when I TRY to call them.....are they just not answering "unavailable calls"..I know Froced Performance does that sometimes.) And Believe me guys...i will be totally happy running a 12.whatever at the track...that is a major accomplishment for the money I have spent and I will be content.

So what are my choices as far as what fuel pump WILL NOT over run my FPR? I heard something about a 150lph, a 190lph, and a 255lph HP, and a 255lph LP. Anyone?

Do you think 550's won't jack up my timing to much to run a 12.5-12.9 (another words a HIGH 12)?????
