1st gen vs 2nd gen intake manifold ques

Is their a difference between the 1g and 2g intake manifold. Is one better than the other. Notice I am talking about intake not exhaust I know the 2g is better there. What do you guys think?

the reason is that I found a 1g throttle body and intake manifold for 60 bucks. If it helped I figured it would be a cheap upgrade.

Look at RRE. You can put the 1G TB on the 2G but you have to port the Intake Mani to match the TB.

How about 1st gen cams and cam gears would they neccesarily be better than 2g ones.

I believe the 1g cams are "better" then the 2g's as well, though I can't give any real info.

you should pick this up and keep it aside until your ready to either put a 1g head on the car or port your 2g head.

I definately second that. As long as it's the correct 1g TB you can't beat that deal with a stick!
