90 ecu took a crap and i have 4 91-94 ecu so i looked and it is 14 and 6 that needs to be be switched is that correct and is this the coorect pinout for a 91-94 ecu in a 90?

This link below says how to but it is not specific it does not show what wires go where.
http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ecu-harness-1G.html

I need a wiring harness diagram that is very specific on how the wires go together.

http://www.dsmchips.com/1990ecu.html

that's something you have to do also.

Thanks, but i am looking for a simple diagram showing what wires need to be cut and sliced, the directions are not clear enough pics are blurry or incomplete, or dont match up.

The link you give is some help but i dont wanna spend $30 on a wire harness adapter when i can do it for free.

What DoyoFCT gave you is the most affordable way to run a 1991+ ecu in a 1990 and still have a tach that won't act neurotic and be remotely accurate. Sorry, it costs 30 bones. That's life. It could cost more, here's another way which is much expensive:http://www.ecanfix.com/users/mdhamilton/ecuconversion.html. . . It's as easy as the vFaq says, if you have a 1991+ car and want to swap in a 1990 ecu. But, this is what we 1990 guys have to live with.

LOL I'm sorry, but the dsmchips site is very simple to follow. And the pictures are clear on my pc. I can even see the wire colors and dots/lines. . . Just do it buddy. take it one sentence at a time. It will work.

If you read that link, you can do it for free, just need a '91-up transistor and plug. I just put a '91 ECU in my '90 and trust me, you need to do it. If you don't the tach will just drop off or jump all over the place when you get on it.

From the page you linked:

14 Air flow sensor active filter reset (idle switch)
(switch with 6 if using a 91-94 ECU in a 90 or vvs)
Stock wire color - Green

6 Idle position switch
(switch with 14 if using a 91-94 ECU in a 90 or vvs)
Stock wire color - Green/White

I swapped wires 6 and 14 in the harness, then installed keydiver's tach adapter chip (I got the internal, not the external) and my 91 ecu works great. Note that you can drive the car without the tach adapter, but you won't know where you are shifting because the dash tach goes all crazy.

Are you having trouble seeing this diagram?

I know where the two on the harness get switched 6 and 14 but i am asking how to wire the 91-94 col pack into a 90

READ the link. you DONT need to swap coils or gauge clusters anymore. Just the Transistor. It won't cost a dime assuming you can hunt down a free transistor and plug. You wire it pin for pin, leaving two leftover wires. One goes to the power feed on the coil pack, the other goes to the ECU. You cut the wire at the ECU and splice the wire into the harness. Done.

The $30 thing they're referring to is something else entirely that eliminates the need to even have to swap transistors.
