I was speaking with Loren @ Forced Performance last night and I asked about injectors. Loren said that with my Big T28 go with a set of 650cc injectors and lean them down with a S-AFC. I asked why go with such a big injector with the T28 and he said " if you go with a bigger injector than what is actually suffiecent, you run the injector at a lower duty cycle which is good for your timing. He said the MAS will see the injectors working at a lower duty cycle and won't pull as much timing which will really help out." So what do you guys think on this? I want a few more opinions. Not that I don't take Lorens advice seriously, but I never take my car to one body shop either!

Thanks

Yeah, she is right. Todd Day would know more about this than probably anybody, but from what I have gleaned there are a "couple" (maybe several?) timing tables used in 1G cars (I can't comment on 2G cars). As the Hertz on the MAS goes higher, the ECU uses progressively more conservative tables, limiting the total advance available. I don't now how many of these tables there are. Add bigger injectors with an AFC and the AFC "lies" to the ECU that there is less air going to the engine. Wallah! More aggressive timing curves and ultimately, more power.
