o2 Housing Bolt - I can not get to it.

The rear o2 housing stud, which fell out a long time ago, seems like it is impossible to get to. I replaced the stud with just a bolt, but i can not get the bolt back in for anything.

Anyone know of an easy way?
 
Your going to have to back out the other 3 bolts about half way, then pull the 02 housing away, then that will give you enough room to slide the 4th bolt in and get the threads started, then proceed to tighten all 4 of them.
 
Well, now you know why they used a stud there instead of a bolt from the factory.

You could also try cutting the tip of the bolt off about 1/4", or just enough so the bolt can make the turn fully to start threading in.
 
When I swapped out my dumped o2 housing for a ported 2g o2 housing. I unbolted the turbo from the manifold and pulled it forward like a 2 inches. Gave me just enough room to work with and I didnt have to replace gasket or anything.
 
I would make sure and put antiseize on your bolts. I have had a bolt basically seize up before. Took a trip to a machine shop and all was better though.

In my opinion, the best way is to unbolt the turbo from the mani so you can pull it back a little bit. Don't unhook any of the oil lines or coolant lines. A good idea would be to soak the bolts in PB Blaster before you take them out. This will reduce the chance of breaking a bolt in the process. Use anti-seize as well when bolting everything back together.
