alright so i been doing a lot of research on tryin to figure out how to run our 1st gen DSM's with open blow off valves without the crappy performance at running rich.. other than the HKS VPC i noticed the APEXi S-AFC might be able to fix our problems! heres what they say it can do with the new 2nd gen S-AFC aviable.

The second-generation S-AFC is a fuel computer that adjusts fuel/air ratio by modifying the air-flow meter/MAP sensor signal. The S-AFC features a user-definable, eight-point, adjustable fuel curve that can be set in 500 RPM increments. The range of fuel adjustment is +/- 50% at each of the user-defined setting points. On hot-wire vehicles, the Deceleration Air Flow Correction function is capable of curing the erratic idle and stall problems associated with open-atmosphere blow-off valves on hot-wire air-flow meter systems. The S-AFC is capable of monitoring and replaying the following data channels in Numerical, Analog Meter and Graph displays: Intake Manifold Vacuum/Boost Pressure, Air Flow Capacity, Intake Manifold Pressure, Karmann Frequency, Engine RPM, Throttle Position, and Air Flow Correction %.

from what i read it sould fix problems with our 1st gens when we have a open bov.

You answered the question in your own post. We dont have hot wire MAFS, they are Karmen Vortex style MAFs.

Now the Ludacris answer would be Dear Sir: The safc is a time honored fuel tuning device. Many people have been using it for quite some time now. You can learn more about this product in our parts list page. If you have any additional questions please feel free to let this thread drag on forever.

However my response is something more like this. Man a SAFC what is this device? I have never heard of it because I have been living under a rock for my entire DSM ownership. Not only have I never heard about it myself but I have never come across anyone that has used this strange product. Thank you for bringing this breakthrough cutting edge technology to our attention :thumb:
