t-28 spool up ques

i have a fwd automatic and want to upgrade my turbo to one of the t-28 series (dont know which yet) because of its ease of install and so i dont have to spend the extra money on a kit. but my ques is that i know that all of them have the relative same spool up as the t-25. is there a way to prolong the spool up time so that i dont spin my tires all day ( any modifications). thanks

if you want to prolong the spool then get a larger turbo like the 16G.. the price with install kit is pretty close to that of a T28 series turbo.

I have the T28 now and if you want to keep from spinning the tires get a dual stage (at least) boost controller and then you can keep the setting really low until you are sure that you won't break the tires loose and then flip the switch and you are off. I just got a great deal on a 16G w/ install kit so i am going that route now. (guy is paying me $200 + 16G w/install kit in trade for my T28. I think he is doing it for the same reason you are. Ease of install.)
