ok my water temp plug broke and i fixed it. my fan will still not kick on so yeah ill over heat :(. a friend of mine told me that there should be a plug on the bottom of the radator and if i cut it off and hook them togher the fan should kick on when i start the car. Is that true? if so can someone tell what side it should be on what color the wires are? somthing. my other qeustion is this my ac was removed before i bought the car but the fan is there. if by chance the fan is blown can i put the ac one on the other side of the radator ? any help would be great thanks guys!

Im not as wise as these men on here...LOL but take your fuse box cover under the hood and pull the fan relay, jump it with a wire. Looking at it from the passenger side jump it from the top left prong to the bottom right, if that doesnt work try it vise versa, then turn the power on and see if the an kicks on, if it doesnt then its a very good chance the fan motor is toast.

On a 1G the thermosensor in the bottom of the radiator is a switch to ground (one side is a ground connection and the other side runs to the fan relay). So yes, if you were to connect the two wires running to the switch it would make your fans run all the time when the car is on.

Dont cut the plug off... Just use a jumper wire to test it. That way if its the sensor, just replace it and you can still plug it in without a hacked harness.

I assume you know now that the sensors on the thermostat housing don't run the fans on a 1G. They provide coolant temp information to the gauge cluster and ECU but the fans run off the thermoswitch in the radiator and the AC controls.
