Ok guys! Here's yet another rarely discussed topic...Seafoam! I was curious to see what advantages or disadvantages to using seafom. Whether it's in the crankcase, fuel system, or trans. Any throttle responses, fuel economy, or power increase in engine performance. Or applicable results from adding to trans or crankcase. Whatever input is appreciated...personally I love the stuff and I'm just curious if is has more than one fan?:dsm:

Put it in my brothers daily driver Pontiac STE. Made the car run much smoother. Great smoke show too. Other than that no performance increase was noticeable...then again its just an old a$s Pontiac.

Seafoam is a cure-all, it takes the varnish and grime out of gas-tanks, oil pans and trannies. I put the junk in my motor-cycle and it cleaned out the carbs pretty well. Of course, your results may vary.

Seafoam is great stuff, you can get it at most autopart stores (I.E Napa,Oreillys,Pep Boys) you can squirt it in the throttle body like MCCC. PepBoys sell a IV like thing that sticks in the PCV hose, so the engine sucks in the SeaFoam while its running to clean the intake. Most places charge 50 bucks. You can do it for 20 bucks yourself. Cleans carbon out of the intake. Then put in new plugs and you are good to go. Good for the crankcase to clean varnish out of the pan and lifter valley. Helps from those annoying ticking lifters most of us DSM'ers have to put up with. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
