Just wondering, I've got the Greddy Type-S and was wondering what exactly does it do when you adjust the screw (from hard to soft, etc.)?

when you turn it to harder you are putting more tension on the diaphram causing the BOV to hold more boost.

Contrary to what turboedoutlaser says don't vent to the atmosphere. you can if you wanna be ricey but it atcually hurts performance.

don't vent to the atmosphere. 8/10 times your car will act crazy after. i get the sputtering sound too. does this mean i need to adjust mine harder, softer, or what?

sorry don't mean to take over your thread.

Typically most BOV's will flutter (if that is what you mean by "sputtering") at low boost levels. Its hard to have a BOV that is able to hold 25psi of boost, and then only take it to say 5psi and shift and then not have the wastegate flutter at all... If your not running very much boost with the BOV, just keep the one line hooked up, the second is for very high boost levels which most street dsms do not need. My suggestion is to tighten/harder until it flutters at low boost levels. Then from there just keep on setting it softer until the fluttering goes away. I know its annoying and not great for the life of the turbo, but mine flutters at anythign less than 5psi when I shift. I have adapted to this style of driving so I avoid the fluttering with my driving habits. The reason i keep it like this is because I typically run 18-19psi on the street, and if I set it any softer then the BOV leaks at higher boost levels...
