1st Gen Eclipse/Talon Turbos vs 2nd Gen Eclipse/Talon Turbo

This weekend i was with my freind who drives a 1998 Eclipse GST which is stock....i was very impressed its much better than my 1.8L Eclipse Today while i was driving i found a 1990 Tsi AWD Talon for sale and im thinking about getting it. First off i wanna know which turbo is better and why(1st Gen-2nd Gen) and who will be the victor. NEVER EVER BUY A 1.8L ENGINE b/c there isn't **** to mod on them

This topic has been discussed a bit less than awd vs fwd. Look around and find your answer. Just be prepared to want to sell your heavy ass fwd 2g when you find out how much better awd is

Here are the major differences http://membersites.namezero.com/jogauthi.nmu.edu/gi/1gvs2g.htm The 2Gs have better styling IMO and you can do just about the same things to both the 1G as you can a 2G. It depends on how far you are planning to go. Once you get past a certain point its going to be just as expensive to go fast in eather one. By the way FWD is'nt that bad if you get a LSD of some kind. Its lighter than the AWDs so there is a advantage when your at a role. But the AWD takes the cake from a stop.
