I got a good deal on some web cams. 546/547. I did some searching on here and some posts say they are not consistant. Is anybody running these cams without adjustable cam gears? I would rather through these in on stock cam gears. I have had adjustable cam gears and lost a head due to them in the past. Let me know how you guys like these cams.

Well I got some WEB cams same as yours and I have the stock cam gears on. The idle is ok but drivable and right now i cant tell you if they are good top end because I recently put a new turbo so I aint pushing it yet until I get it tuned properly.
Well install those cams and see what happens good luck.

The first set of 546/547's I got, had to be sent back to Web. The cam lobes, for lack of better wording, started to get wear marks on both sides of the lobes. Web replaced them free of charge, with Web paying shipping both ways. Not like AEM but that is for a later topic.;) The set I have now still look fine. I noticed the car breathed easier from 4500 RPM up. I installed them at the straight up marks on the cam gears at that time. I have since used different setting with the adj. cam gears. The Web's will lower your vac. also.

I recently installed some web 546/547 cams and was wondering what you guy that have the cams get for vac at idle. Also are you guys getting a good idle? And are you using the stock ECU or DSM link. I think the cams might be alittle much for the ECU to control in stock form. Just curious. Thanks
Sam

I have these cams too. My idle vac is around 15. I also have my idle set at 1200. At 750, the car didn't want to stay running, but then again i am having issues with my rebuilt motor burning oil and low compression.

It is hit or miss with the Web Cams. It deends on how old the cams are... They had a bad batch ears ago and the lobe would start to wear out cause a 'ear' effect. Search for webcams. I had the 546/547 grind, the car ran/idled ok on them but I sold them, buoght BC 280's and never looked back.
