Exhaust and SMIM

I am recieving a free 3.5 inch turboback exhaust and a SMIM for free. I plan on putting them on even though they aren't going to help out my current setup. I was just wondering if either would make me lose power. I'm not really worried about a small amount or some low end Tq. I don't launch my car right now anyway. Stock clutch plus don't want to break stuff. I plan on getting a 50 or larger turbo later, but I'm wondering the effects it will have on the 17c.

It's really not that bad of turbo i must say feels good for a trade on a turd 14b. You think that adding that stuff will have any ill effects or just faster spool

1. You will lose some low end but you might gain some of that back through the 3.5" comparing to your 2.5" old setup.

2. You will gain some top end but probably minimal before head work and CAMs.

3. You may have problem adopting your DP to your stock O2 housing especially if you still have the 1G O2 housing, you will also probably have clearance issues with your oil filter depending on the configuration of the DP.

4. Prepare to deal with boost creep if your 17c is internally gated.

5. You will most likely run into fitment issues with your existing UICP and battery depending on the design of the SMIM, some fabrication and/or battery relocation may be needed.

6. There will definitely be ill effects if you continue to not use proper punctuations.

Oops sorry. I think he is going to give me the o2 it came with. I was told that it woul rattle the transmission. I think either a flew section put in or bending the pipe will work. I'll still have to find out about the manifold. Hopefully won't be to long before I get a new turbo.
