i didnt really know where to put this. I want to know your best 1/4 mile time and speed with main supporting bold ons. the catch is the run has to have been on a stock block and only pump gas. no meth/race/or giggle juice!!! what you got?? just trying to figure out what the best set up for straight pump gas it..

who cares?

Its called racing therefore race gas is a must

I stopped using pump gas after i ran a 12.9@107 with 100% street legal that was the goal i met it and i stopped This was FMIC, 190 pump, afc, small 16g 3" exhuast with a highflow cat.

Forget where i heard it but

Pump gas is for people who pump ass

93 octane Big16g Stock 2.0 bottom end. 1g head, HKS 264/264

That was over a year ago. I have had a lot change since then. Waiting on a new intake manifold/TB combo before heading back to max out the evo3

this may be true, but i spend more time on the streets with my talon then the track, therefor, i run 93. i dont really know anyone who just drives around the all the time with a tank of race gas. thats why i ask.

So you are a street racer?

As for stop light to stop light races ok, i guess i see your point. But just so you know, races that i know of around here are set up in advance and people keep 54gal of race gas at there desposal... sure they might not put it in for a sunday drive. But if they are going to race its in the tank.

But yes i see your point, be as fast as possible on the street then go to the track with out changing a thing

ive actually never had a real street race. i dont get anyone who will play, and when i do, its like a 40mph to a 70mph run for shits and giggles. but yeah, i want to see how fast i can take m street car on pump.

Some people might actually want to see how fast they can go on regular 93 octane. Ever think of that?

Yes I do, and its a hole new animal when you try and go fast on pump gas and i relize the challenges. My question is, when you go down the track and run that 11.5 or whatever it may be on pump gas. Do you still get that excitement later on knowing that you could have gained segnificant hp by puting in some c16, upping the boost and kicking timing up a notch? I mean with me i know Thats as fast as my car will go, and its a good feeling for me.

And i understand the occomplishments running good numbers on pump gas is, but to me knowing that i could go faster/quicker is the draw back at least for me.

i understand what you mean. im just not on that level yet thats all. ive never used race gas. for now i have a goal of 11.99 in the 1320 on just pump gas. then i will step it up a notch.

I just wanted to go as fast as I could on 93 octane. That way, I know, at any given time, that's what the car will run. I could show up at a meet, spot, whatever, and if someone wants to run, and we got an idea of what their car will do, then I know where I stand. None of this "if i only had race gas....," or "lemme go drain my tank of the 93 and put some C16, then I'll be back to run ya" bullshit. Run what ya brung, how you brung it. I don't drive around on C16, so I made the car fast without it.

And yes, I know what race can do. Some people want to see what their car can do at different levels of tune/gas/boost. And obviously I want to know what the car can do balls out. Luckily, I know the limits of both 93 octane and C16 on my car now.

Meth injection is great for those who want to push it on pump gas. With any turbo bigger than a 14b it's probably the best HP/$ you could possibly spend. I personally hate race gas. I don't like rolling out to the track then having to spend 20 minutes draining my tank and refilling with race gas. Plus, the stuff costs an arm and a leg. And then I run down the track, feel what 30 more HP feels like, and have to go drain that 30 hp back into a gas can for the next time at the track because it costs so much and leave 30 hp slower than I just was. Depressing. I can't wait until I can build myself a meth injection setup.
