I have heard many people pass smog with the 264/264 combo, and some have passed with the 272/272 combo. I was wondering if the 280/280 cam from Brian Crower even has a chance of passing smog? They are very tempting and I would have to upgrade the springs and retainers while I am at it, but they sound like they are worth it.
Thanks for the help

We dont have emmisions testing here... but i could not imagine pulling into a testing station with my 280's... buhhhbumbuhhhbumbuhbuhbuhbum get it? They would probley think you car was messed up but if they were smart they would know you had some cams.

What is it about cams that makes it sound different? My car isn't going to sound like a truck or suburu now is it?

Heh, I have choppy idle already thanks to my dead ISC (to be replaced this friday) and shit tune. I don't mind rough idle at all. Long as the car doesn't die it's all good.

I got the 272s. My BT28 probably won't be able to push the 272s to max let alone 280s. Next mod is a larger turbo, but that will be several months down the line.
