Full 3" exhaust on 2G

I have a 99 GST and ordered all the equipment for a full 3" exhaust. The downpipe to cat all 3" but where it connects to the catback exhaust it drops to 2.5" then expand back to 3". Will this affect perfomance or should I find a catback that has the 3" attachment at catalytic. Thanks any comments would be helpful.

Straight 3inch all the way is the best way to go. Haveing it neckdown like will only hurt performance.

Personally, I'd try to keep it truly 3" mendrel from the turbo back. Depending on your mods and goals, it can affect performance.

If you are running a big turbo it might hurt, but with 20g or less, don't worry about it.
