So about two weeks ago i replace my isc. Well when i did that i also out a different tps on from my buddies motor he has. So car was good but i would get a cel and it was for tps. So i read up on how to set it and didnt has access to a volt or ohme meter. So i just set it at 10% at idle with a logger. So everything was fine then last night i went driving and did a pull let off and let the car coast. I put it back into gear and i notice that when i would hit the gas it would take a second to transfer to the engine and would stumble really hard then be fine. So i pull over and get out and rev the engine from the throttle body. If you rev it to like 1,500 slowly it gets stuck almost like a studder box. When its in this mode you can open the throttle all the way and nothing happens it just stays studdering. So i drove home and its still doing it and almost feels like theres something blocking it but once you get past it the throttle feels normel except for the lag. The only thing i can think of is to just rebuild/or find another throttle body. Also when changing TPS we noticed that the seal was bad and leaking so i'm not sure if that would have to do with anything. Sorry this is long but i wanted to try and explain whats going on the best i could. I would appreciate any feed back thanks.

It would be worth checking the voltage on the TPS. If it's bad it could 'hang' at the wrong voltage and cause problems.

And anything leaking is bad, though I can't comment on the specifics of your leak.

Well im going to try to do a leak test tomorrow but as far as voltage to tps im gonna have to go check that out. Would a logger be able to let you know if its not reading right bc when i was outside reving the engine by the throttle body i watched the logger and it was reading fine so not sure if its good or bad. But i guess ill have to get a test done to know for sure if its a leak

A logger will tell you what the throttle %. I assume that's off the tps, but I'm not positive. I would personally only trust a voltmeter reading. (check with engine off, ignition on as well as throughout the rev band).

TPS's are cheap and plentiful. I may even have one around if you need it.

Yeah i'm sure i can find a tps. The one i have now was off of a motor that was sitting for some time so it could be bad but ill check the voltage on it and now that i think about the leak there could be one because when i drove it home it was fine past like 2000-2500 and would pull without a problem. It just seems like its not reading right but is there another sensior that runs off the throttle body. The best io can explain is by the spring like thing there is a wire connected to it. Maybe that could be bad too but later today i'm going to go try and find a throttle body with tps with it.

yes, check to make sure that the butterfly is free to move in the TB. It often gets gunked up and stuck/or blocked. Also, check the throttle cable. I had some lag on my response and coast after my motor was in. It just needed to be adjusted. Good luck.
