1g bov trouble

ok i just bought 1g bov off of ebay. seems in pretty good condition. Well i put it on today and it doesn't work and cause compressor surge. It just make a muffles stutter so i got it off and put my stock one back on. I looked at the bov and it looked ok and when i apply pressure to it pushes in a seems to be ok. Its not crushed but what could be the problem??? i need help b/c this is really pissing me off!!!

make sure that you check the hose on the top of the bov make sure it has no leaks and check if it is connected tightly in place. good luck!
