hey hey, i just got my 91 Eagle Talon Tsi Awd, i paid 600 dollars for it, the body has no rust, its very solid, came with aftermarket rims on it [but i need to put new tires on it cuz its winter, i need some all seaon cuz there are z-rated on it rite now. It needs...A new clutch disk and pressure plate, which i have....a new alternator, which i have....and 3 new belts for the alternator [alt to power steering, p.s to water pump, w.p to a.c.....fun fun fun, but i think i got a good deal seeming that even tho the body has 130,000 [but is in mint condition] the engine is new and has less that 20k on it with a new turbo, and head gasket, i cant drive it rite now cuz of the clutch and alt. but hopefully soon, there is a brand new interior in it but not everything is connected yet, some panels still need ta be bolted in, but i cant wait to get it on the road, ive alread ordered accel 8.5 wires for it and a new pcv valve...the question, how hard, do u think, it would be to install the clutch and alt with one other person with a set of directions from vfaq, u think that ould be sufficient? ok well thanx alot for anyone who has time to reply!! pm if u have any questions or comments on my car or the clutch job! my aim is blaccordx87, im on alot thanx!.....also my emails [email protected]!

I did the clutch on my 95 not too long ago. the actual work time was about 3 full days b/c it was the first time I have ever done any clutch job before and had to fight all of the frozen bolts on the car. Use lots of pb blaster or liquid wrench and try not to break any bolts. The vfaq does a good job of walking you through it.
I pulled mine again a couple of months later and it took me about 11 hrs. not too bad for a 2G AWD, the b!tchiest of them all to change the clutch on. the first gen's are easier.

It would be good to have a 2nd person there to help remove the tranny and even a 3rd to help put it back in.

btw when go into it you'll start to feel like you are in way over your head...just keep going and when you finish it up and it all works, you'll feel like a god!
