NGK BPR6ES Plugs on a 97 GSX

Someone on this board told me to use NGK BPR6ES plug for my 97 GSX.
I looked up the correct plug and it wasn't what he reccomended.

maybe he knows something I don't?

What are people using on here for NGK's?

BPR6ES is fine.

I have a set in the garage at home.

i always forget.. is 6 colder or warmer then 7?

6 is warmer than 7, correct me if i'm wrong

6 is hotter than 7. 6 is the stock plug, 7 is where you go if you're having detonation issues.

If you want to use a BPR plug goto the 7 not the 6. For every number colder (higher) it reduces 50deg from your combustion chamber. You can also use a BCP7ES plug as well if you cant get the BPR7ES.

Well, every car is different, but most stock and close-to-stock cars need the 6s. The 7s will foul because they can't heat up enough to self-clean. It's generally recommended to stay with 6s until you start running considerably higher boost or nitrous.
