im stuck at 12 psi right now with my T28 and i need some more boost the cheep boost controller i had didnt work right so i was looking to do the free mod 2g Waste Gate Solenoid Restriction Removal how many psi will that put me up two if you need to know my mods look in my profile

If you have a manual boost controller, your Boost Control Solenoid shouldn't be hooked up at all. Maybe that's why your MBC wasn't working right. Or do you mean you're going to hook your BCS back up instead of using a MBC? If so, the BCS restriction mod will add 1-2 PSI. The VFAQ is here.

i didnt have Boost Control Solenoid hooked up ...... i want to do the free mod for the BCS for now till i get my eletrical boost controller.

Try hooking your MBC up like i have mine hooked up and see what happens with it maybe its not the MBC but the way its hooked up on the T28 could be your prob. ah well let me know something. its worth a try but IMO if you do get a electronic BC i would go for it. i dont have one but people on here seem to like them over MBC's.:thumb:

I Have the bsc stock the way it came and im at 12psi i have the 2 lines hooked back up and no mbc in the car no more. i just wanted to pull the restrictor peice out and gain a few psi till i get a Boost controller <EBC>.
so how many psi will i gain off of doing that free mod ? anyone ?

Do you have the BCS hooked up right now? Before i installed my MBC like 2 weeks or so ago. I had taken out the BCS one days after being bored with nothing to do and went out on the road. I went from 15 to 17ish then it fell back to 15 and held there.

YEAH the BCS is all hooked up like stock im just woundering if its worth it to do it i have no boost creep at all with all my mods and im at 12 psi steady all the time and would love to see 15 or 17 psi.

Go ahead and do it. If you break it i read it is like a 60 dollar part jsut needle nose the thing out after you screw it out with a small screwdriver. Its worth a try. at the vfaq they tell how to do it.

If it doesnt work you can always put the restriction back into the restriction. Its bound to help some. (They wouldnt have you remove it if it didn't do anything performance wise right?) i would go for it. even if it was like 1-2 psi. isnt 13psi better than 12psi and 14psi better than 13psi?
