Well, I was inspired by larry to take my car back to the dyno after installing the Magnus Manifold and the 272 intake cam,. I don't have a data logger, but the knock sensor led mod was on through out the pulls.

I had a 1/2 tank of pump gas and 3 gallons of c-16. I know this wasn't too beneficial, but I just don't trust the quality of pump gas.

Let me know what you think guys. My mods are listed under this picture.

Any suggestions?

you need to check out the carolinadsm board i posted a question about the dyno for you. about the gain of only 50hp with 10 psi seems wierd to me. but some very nice numbers i can't wait to see it at the track again

Most likely knock from the gas? No datalogger.

Could be the turbo, the frank 4 has never done well, and its compressor map isn't that great...any other opnions.

I don't post on carolinadsm, because I am not a member.

anybody can post on the board. lots that aren't members do, we love to have new people check it out, a lot about the whats going on in nc is posted thier also

did you have the wideband hooked up to it when dynoing?

I'll check the board out.

I had a wideband, and it was at 11:1 on the 400 hp pull.

Very nice improvement over the 320 a little while ago.

I am wondering if any of you computer savvy folk out there could over lay this graph with the one of larryD. I think it would be an interesting comparison for spoolup purposes. BB versus bushing. Not trying to start any crap, but it could be interesting.

I hope this thread doesn't get hijacked like larrys'!

BTW: chris why did you get off the throttle after 6500? I was under the impression that you had it programmed upwards of an 8000 limit? just curious.

I didn't back out of it, I ran it up to almost 8000rpm. This turbo sucks up top, it starts to lose power after 7000rpm.

yeah, I am going frank 6 or 7. A friend of mine just ordered the frank 7(25g), and I want to see how it works for him. We will be installing it within the next month. Any you guys know anything about it (the frank 7). Isn't the frank 6 the same as a red?

if not what is the difference?

Peace out,
Chris

i would stay away from the frank personally. go sbr or agp hybrids they seem nice, i love my sbr. or just get the red is proven, and it doesn't seem like the frank is consistant or goes fast enough for what it is

Kick ass you made the 400HP mark Chris! I wish i couldve been there but i was only able to see the 393 mark!

which dyno you use?

I tried, but it wouldn't fit
is there a text limit?

Can anybody recomend a good A/F ratio. On the last run, I was @11:1, is that way off?

If you look how it flows, you will see that there is very little pressure drop. Up two, then back down the other two. It is not a typical top to bottom setup and you should have noticed that from the piping. And since when do dsm cores look like that? never seen bars on a dsm core.

just saying what i see, i see what appears to be 4 cores welded up in a ghetto FMIC
