Has anyone installed a new o2 sensor in a 1g without taking off the housing. I am going to install my wideband soon and was messing with the car today. There does not seem to be anyway to ger a wrench on it.

Right. The socket he's talking about has a notch cut out of it which the O2 sensor wire can be routed through thus allowing you to get a wrench on the socket. If this is a 1G with the original sensor, expect to be using your breaker bar to get the damn thing loose. :dsm:

Most if not all WBO2 sensors will die very quickly if put in the O2 housing, the exhaust gas is still way to hot. The best place to put your WBO2 sensor is in the downpipe just after the flex section before the cat/eliminator.

My Innovative LC-1 specifically said make sure the sensor is atleast 18" from the exhaust port.
