Hello, I did a search and found nothing, wasn't sure where to post this but though this might work.
So I just bought a '93 Talon AWD with a JDM engine and a bunch of bolt-ons. I was driving the car and it overheated on me. First problem was that the coolant was a light brown color (not oil). I then made sure it was not the fan and it wasn't because it was working (pulling through). My next step was to flush the coolant, as I started to do that I noticed that it was cold at the bottom of the radiator and hot at the top. It is not clogged though as water freely flows through it. I also noticed that the engine oil was very watery, probably coolant in it (hard to tell, remember that coolant was brown). Exhaust had water spraying out of it. I right away though blown head gasket. Did a compression test and got 150psi all across. Now I am stumped, any ideas guys.
P.S. Someone said something about water pumps being a common problem. Any way to check it with out pulling it off?
