ok, heres the deal, a while back my car just stopped running, i thought it was the fuel pump so i replaced it with a walbro 255 and aeromotive fpr, the car still didnt run, i found out that the fp wasnt getting any power, so i wired it to the battery. still nothing. i wasnt sure weather or not the fuel was getting all the way to the injectors because the guage on the fpr was reading zero but realized that there was fuel getting to them. so i have fuel, i have spark but the car wont turn over on its own( we did however get it to start using some throttle body cleaner) but that was it. then the ignition started smoking. so i have no idea. can someone please help me out?

What is happening when you try and start the car?? This could also be a cam/crank sensor problem, I had the same problem. If the car is not getting a reading from the cam or the crank sensor it wont turn the car over (for engine protection) because it doesnt know where either of them are.

when i try to start it, the motor cranks but it wont turn over, ill check that out though, ### i think i actually have another CAS laying around.

I'm with jabinya. Telling us how you verified fuel pump operation and spark would help. Did you listen for the fuel pump whine while connecting a power source to actuate the FP relay to make sure it was running? If it's running yet you're still not picking up positive pressure with your gauge, visually inspect the lines from the pump assembly to the rail for any kind of leak. Have you changed your fuel filter recently?

You could try yanking the fuel line from the rail or the filter (after releiving the pressure), angling the hose into a bucket and then having a friend actuate the fuel pump or crank the engine to see if it starts spitting fuel. If it doesn't, you've got some kind of obstruction before the rail, if it does, I'd check the rail and fuel injectors to make sure they're firing.

Here's a good walkthrough for diagnosing a no-start:

Let us know when you figure out the problem.

hey I just had this problem- ok, my weaponR AFPR was removed, and replaced with the stock one, then the car started up, I had someone test the plug, and I heard it, and then held the wire over the plug and cranked to see all sparked, and then didnt know, started crossing things off, so I got to the AFPR, and that was it.
