Ive read a couple of threads saying that you should place the EGT in the exhaust manifold, but when i was looking at the porting out the o2 housing on www.vfaq.com/ tapped it on the o2 housing.
Is there any difference in the tapping places? I know that you will get a more accurate reading placing it on the ex. manif.
And should you have an a/f gauge and an EGT or one or the other.
Anyone recommend the digital a/f ones oppose to the blinky ones?

I would recommend doing it in the #1 runner of the manny about 1-2" 's down from that bump, or even in the bump as long as its the #1 (hottest in most cases). EGT and a/f are usually used ofr the same thing and if you got the cash why not get both. I only use an egt, but if I were to get a a/f meter it would be a Jumptronix which reads in tenths of a volt as opposed to some light that gives you nothing but a headache....
