La Crosse,
i bought the afpr kit from imortevolution and its a nice kit, but i have a problem. i cant get the fuel pressure past 30psi on the gauge and that with the correct spring installed and the adjustment screw as tight as it will go. anyone know whats going on??

The pump is a new walbro 255 and i cant find any leaks or smell gas. but the cel just came on. code P0446 Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit. What does that mean?

Under the battery is the EVAP system. It's a small canister connected to the top of the gas tank to recirculate gas vapor back into the intake system via the intake tube. I would imagine if there's a leak in the system, OR if the evap Solenoid is bad it might have an effect on gas tank operations. I'm not sure though.

I would make take your current spring out, and put the other one in. Just in case the wrong spring was placed in the AFR durring packageing. It's not highly probable, but possable..

whats the best way to check the evap equipment for problems besides looking for leaks?

Leaks are all i can think of. That also involves checking all the lines to make sure nothing is broken or cracked. Also, check the resistance of the evap solenoid. There's a # for it somewhere on here, i don't remember what it is, but if that's bad that could also be your problem.

I agree with what was above too though, check the spring in your aeromotive. I've heard of that happening a couple times.

I've never heard of the emission system causing fuel pressure problems. From the pump fuel goes through the hard lines upto the filter (firewall under battery). Then to the rail, then to the regulator, back to your tank.. If you can't bring your fuel pressure up and you know for 100% fact you have no leaks in the line or clogged filter. It has to be the gauge, fpr spring, afpr, pump, or HUGE vac leak.

Those readings, are they with or w/out the vac line connected? What In/HG Vac to you show on your boost/vac gauge??

ok so get this, i pulled out the fuel pump and the plastic nipple on the top where the fuel exits was snapped off at the base. So im guessing that the fuel was spraying out were it was broke and not giving me all the pressure and thats why i could only get 20 psi or so. make sence to everyone? i am going to order a new one but i want to find out why it broke so it doesnt happen to the new one. Thanks everyone.
