ok me and myfriend have been disputing. How much does an awd car lose from the crank to the wheels on the dyno, so lets say i have 450 at the crank how much would it be at the wheels?

Off the top of my head I know a 240sx loses 10% thru a dyno and that is RWD so and AWD car would lose more than that, but i dont know the exact number.

well i was thinkin since the awd factor comes into play. the more hp you have the more you will lose obviosuly, so if i have 450hp i would guess i have bout 340-360 to the wheels. but i dont know that much,,,,,,so if there is someone with an awd that has been dynoed post something to tell me whats up, thanks

every drivetrain is different or in other words an WRX AWD and DSM AWD will both lose different amounts as the drivetrain is different and one is more efficient then the other. I believe the AWD on a DSM is rumored to be around 18-20%
