venom manifold vs 1g manifold

I was wondering what manifold would be better cause I am thinking of upgrading but I don't know whick one would be the best.

The Venom manifold is just about the best off the shelf intake manifold that I have seen on the market so far, and even in that right it's not all THAT great. But, the 1g manifold is obviously much cheeper. The Venom will make more power, and gives you the option of running a bolt on larger throttle body, but with all that comes more tuning that needs to be done, etc. What are your mods? Call it a hunch, but there is prolly a lot more you can do before you need to worry about a Venom intake manifold.

I have greddy hard pipes, greddy type s bov, 3in turbo back exhaust, greddy air filter. I plan by the middle or the end of the summer to get the ete 42 turbo, fmic, injectors, afc, head work, cams, 1g throttle body.

BJ from BJ's cylinder head said that he venom flowed worse than any other sheet metal out there. I also think that there are alot more mods out there that would benefit you alot more than a sheet metal intake at this point. A sheet metal intake is one of the last mods that you do. The stock 1g intake had ran 10s time & time again.

Keep in mind that the 1g manifold isnt going to really do you any good unless you have your throttle body ported to match it... the stock 2g throttle body is only like 40 something mm... (correct me if im wrong here)...

Next time you speak to BJ, ask him to define the term "flows worse" for you. Do you know what you are looking for when it comes to selecting an intake manifold?

Stock 2g is 52mm though upgrading to a 1g 60 mm is easy enough.
