2G 95 ECU eprom

Im trying to by a 95 ECU eprom for my car.. theres a guy here that is selling his for 450 Its the TMO one w/ the dual stave rev.. what do you all think is it worth it or not..

IMO no, thats way to much $$ for a 95 Eprom, Im going junk yard scavaging soon to find one

ya i know thats a grip but its a tmo stage 3? that alone cost 300

oh well in that case i suppose its worth it if you were planning on doing the TMO. really depends what you want it for.. I want one for DSMLink in which case the TMO chip would be useless.

True. see right now i have a pocketlogger, and i want the DSMLink but i am to scared to rip my stuff apart (afc) and start all over again. but im thinkin ill get that ecu play w/ it for a while then when i get the balls to get the DSMLink ill sell it. im just hesetating cause the price. so do you think i should go for it and get that TMO stage III ECU ..

I would only get it if you plan on using the TMO for the 2G. That and make sure you get the stock PROM chip also. $450 is a fair price, not great, IF AND ONLY IF you want the TMO. If you don't even want the TMO chip, I would hold out.

It's like going to the car dealer, buying your Eclipse, and having them throw in a Yugo for a couple extra bucks. You don't need it, you probably won't use it, but it is only a little bit more money so what the heck.

Is a 1G EPROM ECU compatible with your 2G? That may be a dumb question, but I'm not familiar with an EPROM ECU. Only reason I ask is cause there seems to be a good deal on one right now on eBay Motors. Check it out:

Luckily I have a 95 and someone who will take off the AFC install and tune DSMLink.

Nope. The ideas are the same. They both have EPROM possibilities, but the 1G is specific to the 1G and the 2G is specific to the 2G.

That's the realization I came to. But I'm keeping my palm so I don't have to carry the laptop in the car all the time.
