ever wondered EXACTLY how much hp and tq each mod adds to a 4g63? look here

i'm copying this out of turbo magazine as it is some extreamly helpfull information. they are working on a 4g63 and have dyno'd the car after every modification they have preformed. the numbers are taken from a chassis dyno and are whp and wtq numbers, not crank.

btw this is all in a galant running on 91 octane pump gas. they plan on going to bigger injectors and higher octane fuel to get between 480-500 whp.

That is the Dougs Dyno Power Galant vr4. I kind of wonder about some of those numbers but at least you get an idea of what gains you CAN get from the mods.

if its a jdm engine, don't they come with a slightly higher horsepower?

Only due to higher octane japaneese gas....in america their the same, unless they have a 16g, which that one did not.

I'm pretty sure those numbers are for a well tuned car only. Also, i'm pretty sure that galant has been well tuned. Most of the cars that have those mods listed aren't as well tuned as that galant either.

190awhp for a VR4 is completely wrong. A couple of weeks ago I watched a well-maintained, bone-stock VR4 pull 135awhp on an AWD dyno.

There's something extremely fishy there.
